2017 Beans and Cornbread Luncheon
Please join us as we celebrate 20 years and listen to the stories of success over daunting challenges illustrate the work being done in our community by agencies that serve individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. These agencies are funded, in part, by the Beans & Cornbread Luncheon and the Interfaith Campaign for the Homeless.
The 20th Annual Beans & Cornbread Luncheon will be held on Monday, October 30th from 11:30 to 1:00 in the Heritage Room at the Amarillo Civic Center. This event will kick off the Interfaith Campaign for the Homeless which will raise additional funds from communities of faith through April 2018. The combined proceeds will then be distributed through a competitive grant process to support shelters and agencies in Amarillo that serve women, men, and children who are experiencing homelessness in our city.
Attending and supporting the Beans & Cornbread Luncheon is about recognizing the dignity and worth of every human being and caring for the health and well-being of our community. It’s about understanding that life is challenging, and for some of us those challenges can and often do result in homelessness. It’s knowing that together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of everyone in Amarillo.
Please consider sponsoring a table at the Beans & Cornbread Luncheon.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the luncheon.
