As the Veteran Resource Center (VRC) Navigator Employment Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive, life-changing impact on the lives of thousands of veterans, family members of veterans, and surviving spouses.
Full-time Position; variable evenings and weekends may be required
Salary Range: DOE, medical benefits available; paid leave.
The VRC Navigator- Employment Specialist will help veterans, including those recently separated from the military, prepare for and find new careers and will increase veterans’ overall health, economic stability and ability to transition to civilian life.
The VRC Navigator is responsible for providing peer support and case management services to veterans, family members, and surviving spouses. The VRC, as part of Family Support Services, is a Veteran Drop-In Center that provides veterans and/or their family members and surviving spouses with the opportunity to meet peers and engage in peer support activities, apply for benefits, receive assistance in finding employment, have access to individual, family and marital counseling at no cost to veterans and family members through evidence-based therapy models such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Equine Therapy, and be directly connected to other needed resources, including resources provided by community partner agencies housed on-site.
