LOSS TEAM
LOSS Team Mission Statement
To instill hope for healing in Survivors of Suicide through resources, guidance, and connections from compassionate community members and those who have experienced a suicide loss.
What We Do
LOSS (Local Outreach for Survivors of Suicide) Team is a response program designed to assist family members, friends, and loved ones (referred to as “Survivors of Suicide” or “SOS”) of people who have died by suicide. The program utilizes a postvention method to help SOS make connections and find community resources as close to the time of their loss as possible. The program consists of mental health professionals as well as community members who have experienced suicide loss themselves. All contact is made in a safe, comforting, and confidential manner to instill hope for healing to our SOS community members.
Contact Jennifer Potter, LOSS Team Coordinator at (806) 342-2549 or JPotter@fss-ama.org for more information.
