BIKES FOR VETS

The Veteran Resource Center Bikes for Vets Program was established to address the transportation needs and assist those Veterans who are actively seeking job opportunities that are commuting to and from work sites or school. The program offers to connect veterans with bikes they can use for exercise as needed or for more practical purposes, such as getting to a job interview, or to a medical appointment.

Priority for the bikes is formerly homeless veterans living in subsidized housing; veterans with a service-related disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs; all other military personnel, veterans and members of the National Guard; family members of the people already listed.

Bikes, helmets, lights & locks are donated to the Veteran Resource Center and are then given to Veterans on a case by case basis to assist in their transportation needs.
